MINISTRY ASSESSMENT PROCESS
The 7 Anglican Churches in North Vancouver are working together on process to assess our strengths and challenges and to put together a plan for the future of the Anglican community in North Vancouver. (Other Anglican churches in our diocese have done this and are doing this, but North Vancouver is the only region/deanery that is doing this as a combined effort.)
There are 5 stages in the process:
Stage 1 - MAP teams are appointed - Completed
St. Catherine's MAP team is coordinated by Alison Watt, and includes Tony Dodd, Vivian McGie, Diane Stickney and Christine Rowe. Each Parish is represented by a lay leader at the MAP leadership meetings and the clergy of the deanery are represented by Lynne McNaughton, interim priest at St. Clement's and Gary Hamblin, interim priest at St. John's. Alisdair Smith is the mentor appointed by Bishop Michael Ingham to support us through this process. Tasha Carruthers is the Diocesan staff resource.
Stage 2 - The Mandate for the process - Completed
The Mandate was developed and approved by parishes in March/April 2009.
