Messy Church is where family life meets faith life. It's food, fun and relationships in a casual, friendly setting for those people who would like to explore Christian values with their children and with other young families.

It takes place on the fourth Thursday of the month in our Mary Pellatt Room, just off the kitchen. Supper is provided. Please check our Events page to confirm time and other details.

"Messy Churches" take place in a variety of churches - and even countries! Here's one description of what Messy Church tries to be for the people of their neighbourhood:

Messy Church is a church, not a craft club, that helps people encounter Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

It is for adults and children to enjoy together - every element should be relevant and accessible to all

It uses hands-on activities to explore Bible stories, to reflect a God of creativity and to give people a
chance to play together.

It reflects a God of unconditional love and is a church for people outside church, providing an oasis of
welcome and a safe space in which to thrive. Messy Church is about hospitality, expressed most
evidently by eating together – whether it’s a plate of sandwiches to share, spaghetti dinner or other
prepared meal.

It reflects a God of joy who wants his people to have life in all its fullness.

Messy Church is ecumenical and seeks to work with all Christian churches.
