When we consider spiritual practice, we often think about solitude, silence, prayer, music, journaling, quiet walks in nature, writing poetry or mindful body movements. Spirituality author, Joyce Rupp writes about these practices leading us to Open the Door of our hearts. She writes: "When we leave the inner chamber of our deeper self, we continue to go toward the Holy One with our whole life".
This is what this Lenten series is about. BEYOND THE DOOR describes how when we move out of our heart place, we affect the outer realms of our life by simply being there. And we receive the encounters there as a way of continuing to open the door of our hearts.
During Lent, Saint Catherine's Spiritual Practice Group is inviting 6 guests from around Metro-Vancouver to share their personal experience of 'engaged contemplation'. This will be a time of hearing from our guests and an invitation for us to ponder the gifts we bring out of our spiritual practice. Gifts like... Service, Love, Respect, Hospitality, Peace, and Hope.
This series is open to everyone who is curious about living spiritually engaged lives.

- 7:05 pm: Welcome and Introduction
- 7:15 pm Guest sharing, Spiritual Practice & Reflection
- 8:15 pm Compline
- 9 pm Closure
