Art: The mystery of Christmas - artist: Paula Jordan.

Advent Doors is a Saint Catherine's community project that invites you to share something of yourself with others - photos, collage, knitting projects, fishing excursions, family, expeditions or neighborhood walks, construction projects, meals/baking, paintings, a poem, a landscape, a book or a letter and more...

Inspired by the traditional Advent Calendar where there is a door for every day leading up to Christmas, this year you are invited to open the four doors of the Sundays in Advent. Behind each one, there are many who are eager to open the door and share themselves with you: a woman who dared to say 'yes', a man who paid attention to his dreams, a desert-dweller who forged a path when there was no way. These and so many others invite us into intentionality and reflection.

Over the past 8 months we have been keeping safe behind our own closed doors. I wonder what the Spirit has been doing in and through you - in your daily tasks, your creativity, your thoughts, your acts of kindness to yourself and others?

Advent Doors is a Saint Catherine's community project that invites you to share something of yourself with others on one, two or all the weeks of the season.

Advent Door 1: "In those days": Share images or words or something that brings you comfort on hard days.

Advent Door 2: "A way in the wildnerness": Share images or words or something that tells of a journey you made (literal or figurative), charting your own course.

Advent Door 3: "Where I'm from": Share images or words or something that opens us up to where you are from - places and people that hold your roots and ground you.

Advent Door 4: "An inner home": Share images or words or something that you said 'yes' to or 'let it be' - perhaps looking back you realise it was a 'holy' invitation.
