Genesis 45: 1-15
A Journey toward the centre

We apologise for the sound quality in the service. We are working out the livestream sound. Thanks for your patience.

Here we meet Jacob’s sons: Joseph, Judah and their ten siblings in the midst of a family conflict. One where they (and we the readers) are invited to

 -       open up the hidden parts of our past and

 -       to risk letting go what we think we know

 -       and who we think we are.

As Richard Rohr says in Everything Belongs, we are “circumference people” who live at the edges of our existence, and the path to God is the movement from the edges to the center.  The biblical metaphor for the center of our existence is “the heart.” The journey to God is also the journey of self-discovery.
