Last Saturday night a group of 9 of us participated in the 2021 Long Long Night of Hope raising funds for the North Shore Lookout Shelter.

Some of us slept in our cars, some on decks and in backyards and a couple on uncomfortable floors in their house. In these unprecedented times the shelter  needs support more than ever with people losing jobs, rents so high that it takes more than a minimum wage job to afford and mental health significantly impacted.

Because of covid restrictions the shelter is now limited in beds and is using other venues and hotels to house people.

Thanks to all the wonderful people in our lives the 9 of us have raised over $17,000 and counting!

Well done everyone!  Donations are being accepting until March 15th on our Canada Helps page (Link to help )  or at the church.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time not just to donate but to educate themselves on the issue of being homeless which is just as important!  Homeless does not mean hopeless.  Be the hope!
