For Lent we have invited visual, graphic, and word artists to contribute to our Reflection space at the front of the church. The display will change weekly with the theme; this is the first display for March 10, 2019.
Here is some information about the beautiful Glass Bowl:
This large kiln-formed bowl was made years ago from a custom mold. This particular one has a whale design sandblasted into it and is a spectacular piece of art. It was crafted by a team of incredible artists, under the supervision of multi-discipline artist and Lower Mainland resident, David Danchuk. It is one of a series of such bowls, some of which were in a gallery and some of which were commissioned for churches in Texas as baptismal fonts. The bowl's dimensions minus the stand are: diameter 39", height 7: from the ground.
