Could it be that Jesus makes an offer of unconditional forgiveness?
If forgiveness is gift. Then every one of us is blessed.

And in the church we are actors in a grand drama.
A drama we enact every time we kneel down and say I am sorry.
We receive what is already given.
This is our liturgy of confession and absolution.
